West Yorkshire-based singer-songwriter and poet, writing and singing for years, for own entertainment only. Most material created in 1980s and largely abandoned but interest rekindled during lockdown. Got into resurrecting and reworking old tunes as well as writing some new ones (11 completed and 3 underway). Also improved recording and mixing techniques.

Music and lyrics for "More than a Friend" (see below), (C) written in '85 but shelved until recent recording in '22 - what a hiatus that was! Piano Accompaniment (and much encouragement) provided by Adam Smith, my trusty singing teacher. I've composed the other tracks digitally (some 80s, some 2021/2022), using various chord progressions, beats and instruments and own musical knowledge.

Hard to say - perhaps likes more than influences. Eclectic taste, mostly New Wave - anything late 70s and 80s, though with some older and newer stuff thrown in (Guy Mitchell's 'Singing the Blues' and The Shirelles' 'Will you still love me Tomorrow' to Capaldi's 'Someone you Loved').

Not tied to any particular artist or genre and will have a go at singing anything, really: Andy Williams, Beautiful South, Billy Joel, Blondie, Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, Erasure, Frankie Valli, Johnny Nash, Pretenders, Spandau Ballet, Supertramp, UB40 ... Touching a four-octave vocal range, so can hit three-and-a-bit comfortably.

XLR mics (audio-technica AT2020 Condenser and Shure Beta 58A), studio monitors, pop filters, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) interface, decent laptop with 16GB RAM, 12 and 6 String acoustic guitars, electronic piano, 76-Key Casio keyboard. (Instruments used mainly for formulating melodies etc.)
