I used to play in bands back home in Burnley but haven’t picked up my guitar in a while since I moved to Manchester and am looking to get back into writing and playing music. I’ve mainly played pop punk or rock/metal but also can enjoy playing acoustic more chilled out stuff a la City and Colour and others as well as some prog rock and many other genres. I am influenced by and listen to most types of music though from the above as well as pop, ska, dance, dnb, dubstep, rap, rnb, motown, etc. Just looking to play with some likeminded individuals and have fun; happy to do covers or help write or play originals.

Influences
Pretty much anything and everything, I have a very wide range and as well as all the types of music I mentioned above, I really love 80’s music (who doesn’t? lol) with things such as heavy/thrash/hair metal, virtuoso guitarists, electronica/electronic pop and goth and dance music all going alongside pop and synth pop and everything in between all being popular and new and exciting (at the time); that energy is still felt by all the greatest music of that era.
Some favourite bands that have certainly influenced my playing or at least covers I’ve learnt or sounds I try to emulate, include:
Metallica, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Incubus, Billy Talent, City and Colour, Alexisonfire, Panic! At The Disco, All Time Low, Paul Gilbert, Extreme, Biffy Clyro, Radiohead, Queen, David Bowie, Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers (specifically John Fruciante), Bayside, Say Anything, +44, Air Traffic, Alex Clare, Coheed and Cambria, Taking Back Sunday, Motion City Soundtrack, and many others, I’m sure I’m forgetting haha.

LTD (ESP) ME-50 (Cherry Red with Floyd Rose Tremelo), a Gibson Les Paul Classic copy, a Fernandes Bass guitar (Black), a Squire (Fender) Stat copy, and a traditional classic nylon string acoustic guitar. As well I have a Line 6 amp, a Boss multi-effects pedal and a Black Paisley distortion pedal.
