Hi, I'm Dimitar, also known as Metaka. I'm a guitarist and songwriter, passionate about crafting a dramatic, almost magical-realism atmosphere with my guitar. I enjoy melodies that feel intimate and sway like gentle waves. Because of that, I prefer acoustic sounds and enjoy playing in acoustic bands. I also play electric guitar and love how groovy and sexy it can sound. However, I always favour acoustic for its irreplaceable dynamics- its ability to be gentle or harsh, and with skilful finger control, to create magic.
I AM NOT A SESSION GUITARIST, so please don't contact me to fill in for your band. I also don't play covers, but I'm happy to collaborate if your music resonates with me.
I like to be involved in the creative process, as most guitarists would agree that learning someone else's melodies is like understanding their emotional logic.
I can improvise across most popular genres, such as blues, jazz, reggae, etc. I want to make music that grooves, feels good, and makes people want to sing or move to it.
No ego, no overplaying. I'm not into endless solos or showing off weird chords just to be clever. I want to make songs that are tight, dynamic, and memorable — strong intros, verses that pull you in, choruses that land hard, and creative little bridges that keep it interesting.
I’m open to ballads, too — just not into dark or heavy vibes. The goal is to make music that feels alive, whatever the tempo.
