ABOUT

(All tracks are home-made a cappellas, but I have a lot of studio experience. Currently working on a project.)

I am looking for musicians to jam and eventually perform with, who value and prioritise wellness and fitness. I would also love to work with people who are generally open-minded.

I know that that might be an unusual request, but I would just really like to work with people who have a similar mindset. I think it would make for a great connection in terms of friendship, but would also help us grow together in our music.

I'd say I'm mainly looking for a guitarist who can sing in tune, but I am very open to other instrumentalists. I'd mainly want to work together on original songs for Youtube and live events.

Having said that, I'd also like to do the occasional cover - but in such a way that it becomes completely different from the original.

I have been songwriting since I was 7, but took it seriously when I had a stint of fame in East Africa at 14. Did lots of gigs, but it never felt "right" as a lot of it was rushed, not entirely live, and lacked authentic emotion.

I've taken the past few years off to fully explore myself as a person, and now, after moving to London after 12 years of Africa - I feel ready to get back to music with different eyes.

My songwriting was initially influenced - in terms of melody - by *N Sync and Britney (I know, I know), and I feel that my melodies still steer close to a pop feel - but lyrically I try to stay as vulnerable and authentic as I can. I'd say my work is more dark than "happy", and I strive to make music that just hits a listener to the core (I don't know if that makes sense, but I'm trying to word things I that I can only really feel).

I would say that my work is very "quiet" - I like leaving a state of emptiness in the music so that the lyrics and melody fully come through, so this means that hard rock and any sort of uptempo EDM probably wouldn't work.

Having said that, I am not opposed to an electronic acoustic fusion, and would also be open to drifting into other genres that I adore (eg reggae, R&B, folk, country, rock). I tend to listen to a LOT of indie alt electronic music, as well as a range of other things - which all influence my style.

You can contact me via this site or reach me on Twitter or (Google search my name).

TO RECAP: If you would like to work together, you will probably relate to the following:

- You value fitness/wellness.
- You are open-minded.
- You like the idea of us growing together as people as well as musicians during the process of us working together.
- When you perform, you lose yourself in the emotion of the song.
- You are willing to spend 1-3 days per week (negotiable) jamming together.
- You can sing in tune.
- You have a varied interest in music genres.
- You have either worked on original songs before, or are willing to play around and experiment with it if it's new to you.
