Matt Hamer is an acoustic singer/songwriter from Llandudno, North Wales. He started a career in modelling in 2009 after being scouted by New York modelling agency, Red Model Management. He has since worked for top designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein and Abercrombie & Fitch.
Matt has put the fashion modelling on the back-seat to study for his film degree and concentrate on his music to which he has had much recent success. He recently opened up at Eirias park after winning the North’s battle of the bands, sharing the stage with artists such as Little Mix, Wiley, and Conor Maynard. Matt has just confirmed to support Jai McDowall, the winner of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, on his upcoming UK tour. Current confirmed festivals for 2014 include CamperJam, Weston Park, Blackthorn Festival and Wakestock.

EQUIPMENT
I use two standard Breedlove semi acoustics (alternately) - one of the guitars requires a guitar lead to plug directly into the provided PA, and an additional guitar lead for a separate modified pick-up which runs into a small Line 6 amp (mine), which is often mic’d up to the PA (depending on the size of the venue) The other guitar just requires a single guitar lead to run directly into the PA. I also need one mic-stand with a mic.
I provide a PA system for pub gigs, etc.
