ABOUT

Singer / songwriter / bassist / guitarist (latter primarily acoustic & rhythm). Been in bands for years - covers & originals, three-piece, four-piece and acoustic duets. Had to leave my long-term band as I’ve relocated to Stoke for family reasons. Absolutely gutted to have left and still wanting to pursue music here.

Ideally looking for a vocalist and bassist role, whether joining a band or a part of forming one. I've been both a frontman as vocals only, and the frontman as both the vocalist and bassist. I love playing, so the ideal situation would be being able to do both vocals and bass, and happy to do acoustic guitar when needed also.

I'm definitely interested in split vocal roles as well, particularly for covers. I think there is huge added value in splitting the vocals between more than one vocalist, especially were styles and ranges differ. You can really broaden the whole sound. I once saw a professional covers band play a high-profile private event in LA where three of the five-piece sang, and they could practically cover almost anything! Massively down for that.

Happy to explore acoustic projects as well, whether as a new duet, or similar. I've done a lot of acoustic gigs as the vocalist and rhythm guitarist, and I generally play and write acoustic songs to tide me over in times like now where I'm not in a band.

I'm big on the camaraderie of musicianship. Have to be professional and organised to be in a working band, but it has to be fun.

Have played weddings (as evening entertainment, first dance song, and playing a happy couple down the aisle and during the signings etc), small local festivals, charity events, pub gigs and parties.

In terms of ability, I’ve been trusted to sing people down the aisle and have played two private parties for a professional truck racing driver. On those grounds, and entirely without arrogance or pretentiousness, I'd like to think I can hold a note and play a tune or two!
