Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Piano, Background Singer, Ukulele, Electronic Music.ABOUT
Hi all! New to the area, multi-instrumentalist (primarily rhythm guitar and/or bass) and can sing a bit. Plenty of experience and motivation (which hopefully compensates for talent). Looking to join/form a band to get me out of the house once a week and play the odd gig.
Here's a bunch of stuff I've written in various styles - I play and produce most of what you hear, sing on some of it. https://soundcloud/mathewpb/sets/eclectic-1

Influences
Mostly pop-rock. A child of the 80s, so a lot of pop from that era, plus Bowie, Costello, Radiohead, Crowded House. More Beatles than Stones. More Blur than Oasis. Current bands I admire include Twenty One Pilots, The Wombats and The 1975. Also love a bit of folk along the lines of Simon & Garfunkel, and a bit of prog (Genesis, Marillion).

Pompier d'amour
Pompier d'amourIn my ongoing experiment to write songs in different styles, I wanted to try a Chanson Française. Only I missed by about 6 or 7 thousand miles. Still, I sing it in French, for which I apologise. And for the lyrics.
