I started out playing rock but have been stuck playing acoustic jazz (gypsy jazz)for many years now, gigging around the UK.
I'm breaking out of that scene now and focusing on writing and playing originals. I'm looking for a bassist/lead vocalist for the band I'm working on which is a hybrid kind of band.
We are working on originals and working towards getting a full set together so that we can record a demo and start gigging and touring asap.
On the other hand, we are also working on Beatles songs to play tribute and function gigs - which pay well and are great to have on the side as doing originals takes more time to organise and are harder to get gigs for.
In any case, getting the originals band roadworthy and ready to go and blow peoples minds out is the end goal of the project - we can keep the tribute part going as long as we want to for getting cash and keeping gigging regularly.
