ABOUT

Musician, song writer, producer, sound engineer. Known for my live and studio contributions, as keyboardist to Captain Sensible’s group in the early 1990’s. Albums I made with Captain Sensible are ‘Meathead’ and ‘Live at The Milky Way’. (Humbug Records) While at school I took classical lessons on piano but was more interested in my own style of alternative rock. In the 1980’s I formed a punk rock band with school friends, which performed some of my early songs. I was then recruited to what became the heavy rock group Stone Cold. The group performed original material in the style of Deep Purple and Frank Zappa, with myself on Hammond Organ and vintage synthesizers, we played the south of England from Stonehenge benefits at the Sir George Robey, (Club Dog) to the Treworgey festival.
While studying Music and Economics at Derby University, I joined Captain Sensible to tour and record. After some time living in the Derbyshire Peak District, I went on to the creation of a woodland recording studio in south west Scotland, run by home made wind and solar energy. This is where I wrote and produced the ‘Incredible New Improved Aliens’ E.P. (Cherry Red Records)
Originally from West Sussex, I’m now based in Scotland. I have also performed with Nick May’s orchestral rock group ‘Whimwise’ and for ‘Pyramids of Snafu’ while working sound crew on the Mandala Stage at Glastonbury Festival’s Green Futures Field.
