Dudes, I'm a guitarist who's played all sorts Blues / Rock / Funk / Folk / Country / Soul / Pop - if it's good and got soul, I probably like it and have probably played it.
Been playing guitar since around 72 (actually started on drums & still percussive stuff Latin etc) doesn't make me good but gives you an idea of my influences saying that, I'm probably better than most -) Inclined towards melodic rock, very strong on harmonies - did loads of Eagles in the past, can also carry lead vocal if required but rather concentrate on guitar playing. Last band - 9 piece Soul band doing all the classics to coporate and weddings.
I'm looking to form or join like minded musos and gig. Got good gear and very keen to get together with anyone interested and see if it works. Love the odd good quality harmony with people who can sing (all ways sung harmonies and can easily pitch the ones that are hard to get) Love the play off with other musicians and giving space etc.
I've been in and out of bands over the past 30 years - mainly blues / country rock and soul but my day job sort of took over the the past few of years and the music took a back seat. The 9 piece soul band I've played in over the last has lost direction due to peoples carriers and other interests, mine included.
Trying to get together with like minded similar aged / background and preferably local to Manchester and get back on track.
Ideal line-up is probably Guitar / keys / bass / drums / singer - music - anything that's good.
