ABOUT
The band started in 2000 with the Skehan brothers.
Andrew (vocals) is 22 ,while Jamie (guitarist, bass, keyboard and lead) is 17.
We are very passionate about music and have our own recording deck, where we record at home.
Why this name?
Lymelite refers to our battle to emerge in the manchester music scene.
Do you play live?
No. There is only 2 of us and so at the moment we are a studio band.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
For the better as it appeals to wider audience and more people can hear it quicker.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes although we do not want to be lost in the multi media circus that exists at present which is totally bias to sweet looking boy/girl bands who sing weak cover versions of old songs. Our objective is to write and produce brand new original songs as this is the only way forward for true music to survive.
Your influences?
Oasis is our main inspiration. As well as coldplay. Brilliant song writers and composers of music, and of course the beatles.
Favorite spot?
Manchester.
