DRUMMER needed for experimental/alternative rock/electronic music project.
Hi there! We’re looking for a new drummer to join Vetna, a music project with relevant influences from the ‘90s and ‘00s (The Dandy Warhols, Radiohead, Verdena, Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, Four Tet, Crystal Castles, Boards of Canada, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, La Femme, just to name a few). Everything spiced up with a strong punk attitude, heavily-distorted guitars and a hot psychedelic vibe.
Vetna have been active since 2019, and have released their debut album ‘As Lips Run’ last October. We have been playing several gigs in the South West area and London in the last years, and (before Covid) in the rest of Europe. At the moment, our line-up consists of two multi-instrumentalists (guitar, voice, synths // guitar, keys, bass).
Drummers we really like are Jimmy Chamberlin, Dave Grohl, Luca Ferrari (Verdena), Franz Valente. You could say we are really after that thick, loud, rock drums sound!
Ideally, we would need someone who is also familiar with backing tracks/using pads/playing with a metronome.
We’re looking for someone who would be happy to collaborate on the long-term on new music too.
We will start to play live again soon (at the moment, we have four gigs confirmed at Bristol, London and Cardiff in the next two months).
