ABOUT
Loop is a 3 piece vocal/guitar group from Chatteris, Ely and Brandon. They write and play their own material which has often been described as Hard Mod. Constantly updating their set which has gained a growing reputation for a no frills, gritty style has won the band fans across the region. Martin and Darren formed the band in late 2003 trawling through miles of Martin's 4-track cassette demos and started looking for a bass player. After having some friends fill in they did a couple of reasonably successful gigs early 2004 with ex Atlantic frontman Morgan O'Flynn. Colin Tubb joined in September 2004 when Morgan had to stand down to outside commitments. Col was persuaded it would be a good idea to be a bass player and did the band proud until the summer of 2005 when work commitments force him to stand down too. After a few auditions (what a horrible process that was!) we found Jamie (tagged him to prevent escape) and here we are. Although taking it's influence from all over the place, all the band members listen to a wide variety of music the end result being the Loop sound. The band was developed with a simple ethos in mind: "We've all chased the dream before, we have paid our dues many times over. We would love to turn professional but, we are realistic (not cynical!) and enjoy what we do but our friendship and families come first."
