Kitsch Cat's Collar (Zebra Hornz 2015)
Kitsch Cat's Collar (Zebra Hornz 2015)Layered stuff over a funk bassline, with an Afrobeatesque horn riff, and some sampled sounds giving an air of quirkiness . A new mix of this is being prepared.. but I also imagine this as potentially the demo of a possible live zebra hornz set crossing genres between perhaps folk and world, with a bit of room for improv and using the cool giggle samples and what have you - there is a poker being dropped on a stone surface. If you like it.. please let me know!!
Rool One (Uri makes Borsch with Beef Stock)
Rool One (Uri makes Borsch with Beef Stock)Disco meets folk: disco type bass line, with dulcimer and gentle trumpets and horns playing a minor folk inspired melody, with vibes and live percussion. To me this is a kind of folk crossing and meeting with something else..
Knock BackThis track originated as a song that never quite gelled lyrically - but from the start it had a cool eerie feel to it. I revised it recently and kept the elements such as these trancy sounds, added trumpet and flute (Mike Hartley) plus the extended outro using uke..

Your Left Brain Won't Save You
Your Left Brain Won't Save YouRework of a previous track… added some saxes, took out some other stuff, have got a quirky sound I hope. The title relates to ponderings about improvising and not getting into the trap of trying to work everything out. Interestingly this has suddenly resulted in a spate of quirky vocal stuff resuming it's appearance on my tracks
Passive AgressiveDancy a bit of (another) one chord wonder.. and perhaps should add a bit of variety. Have also created some lyrics tho in some ways I like the very sparse nature of the track. Tell me what you think!!!
