The Lisa Davies Big Band are not your average swing band. We play Latin, funk, some more modern swing as well as some modern vocals charts by artists such as Amy Winehouse and Bjork. We play challenging charts by composers such as Gordon Goodwin and Michel Camilo and we rehearse every Tuesday evening working towards gigs mostly on Sundays and some daytime events throughout the summer. The standard of musicianship is good with a number of ex-pro musicians. Players work on difficult charts at home during the week.
If you are a good player and want a challenge that will improve your playing week on week, then please contact us for an audition. The band is very friendly with no egos.
