Like Optimists are a high energy, four piece alternative rock band from Suffolk. They formed in 2015 and started playing live together a year ago, and have been growing in popularity since. They are inspired by Green Day, Nothing But Thieves, The Hunna, and Fall Out Boy amongst others. They are constantly writing new music, have plenty of originals, and are at their best when playing live.

Band Bios:
Nathan is the Dad of the group, and has a one year old son called Noah. He is the songwriter for all the bands original songs and when he’s not playing guitar or spending time with his family, he is an avid gamer. Nathan does the best impression of a giraffe and once got offered a job making giraffe voice overs for films.
Aaron a.k.a Azza lives and breathes music. He is a songwriter, singer, can play almost any instrument and produces and mixes all of the bands music. He loves being on stage and sharing his music with others. Azza has been described as slow, and has been mistaken for a sloth several times. He is known to local authorities for his frequent misidentification and has been seen in the background of David Attenborough's Planet Earth in the rainforest with a camera strapped to him, in order to advance the world's knowledge on sloths. This is where Nathan and Azza first met, and later went on the create Like Optimists.
James is a master at making inappropriate jokes and can make almost anyone laugh. He has been drumming for fifteen years and used to work for the police. He applied because he thought, as a drummer, he would be ‘good on the beat’... Ba boom boom tsch… (an example of James’ exceptional humour…)
