Looking for a bass player and perucussionist to join my small group. We play Turkish, Kurdish and Middle Eastern folk music. The bass parts are quite straightforward. Although we have a lot of songs in non standard rhythms like 10/8, the bass generally follows the acoustic guitar and the progressions are quite repetitive. We are mainly a live band but plan to do some recording this year as well. We don't usually have a heavy gig schedule, but we gig all round the UK whenever we get the chance. We don't practice every week as we are a bit scattered about. So we work on our repertoire when we can and then step up rehearsals when we have gigs coming.We like to have fun when we practice and rehearse. Extra vocals are also welcome.
