ABOUT
I play drums, keyboards and clarinet, and teach drums, keyboard, piano and music theory. I cater for all levels and use the Trinity, ABRSM and Rockschool exam boards. Currently I play for Get Carter, Fireflies and the LoveCats locally in Kent, and with other people as and when required.
I am the house drummer at Laurence Lock's Acoustic Nights at the Beauty of Bath in Sittingbourne, Kent once a month.
I also write instrumental pieces which I perform live using some prerecorded backing. My gig total exceeds 1500 to date.

Influences
I grew up on classical music, progressive rock and later Scandinavian and Baltic jazz and folk music, particularly that from Finland and Estonia. I also listen to 20th century music such as Poulenc, Satie and Silvestrov. I am very fond of ecm records and am influenced by the space and freedom of Nordic jazz and folk.

EQUIPMENT
I use Mapex drums with Pearl Snares, with a variety of cymbals including Zildjian K and UFIP. The drums are a Saturn Series fusion kit with extra rock floor tom fitted with Remo Emperor heads. I use Peter Erskine and Jo Jo Meyer signature sticks.
