ABOUT
Hi, my name is Lee, I am 28 years young and am primarily a lead guitarist and currently in a working band called "Rites to Ruin" which are an original heavy British metal type band. I work full time as an engineer for a telecoms company and am also doing a 2yr accelerated BA Hons degree within commercial music via WaterBear. I am hoping in doing this it will steer me in the right direction to eventually make my passion a full time, sustainable career as well as open a few doors and obtain some contacts along the way...
I am looking to form a 4 or 5 piece, male fronted originals band with a heavy rock/modern metal vibe and maybe start off throwing in a few covers along side own material in sets, which really is just for fun and to get the audience involved until we can go fully original. Although, the odd cover still wouldn't be a bad idea for keeping things a little fresh and interesting but open to opinions and ideas from the rest. I am keen to get a unique project going to eventually tour and record, so like minded, committed individuals is a must to make this work.
My current band is still on-going but I want to do something myself on the side to see where things may go and really want to start reaching out to other fellow musicians to create some contacts and find people that I could potentially collaborate with. I know todays climate (dare I mention it) is a huge kick in the face in terms of the world of music but virtual gigs are a thing right now and nothing is stopping me being able to track and mix songs, demos or albums at my home studio so the show must go on ;)
My day job I work full time, four days a week but this means my rest days are a little all over the place but I have in fact more spare time than regular 5 day weeks. I have to work one Saturday a month with all other weekends free. I am flexible for sure and can do evenings dependent of travel and location obviously. I have my own transport and am able to travel.

EQUIPMENT
Currently own a Chapman ML1 Pro guitar, Line 6 Helix Floor, Victory 2x12 cab, Seymour Duncan power stage 70.
Home studio isn't anything fancy but running MacBook Pro with Logic Pro as my DAW of choice a pair of KRK monitors and a 2 channel Audient ID4 interface. It's more than enough to get the job done at the moment but I process of eventually getting a better studio setup.
