I'm Dean and for the past half a year me and a close friend have been working on a synth pop project called Oxford Isles. We've currently got a handful of self-produced tunes under our belt and we've had a lot of positive feedback regarding them. Recently we brought on another guitarist and focus turned towards becoming a more tradional band and taking the stuff live. We've since brought a drummer on board and so a bassist is the final piece of the puzzle to make this work.
We're based in Coatbridge and plan on jamming in Coatbridge but we're fairly flexible and if we need to travel into glasgow for a jam then we wouldn't mind.

Influences
Our sound can be described as alternative synth pop at it's very roots however we incorparate a lot of indie rock, psychedelic rock, shoegaze and new wave sounds into the music as well. We're heavily influenced by a lot of artists artists including Hippo Campus, Arctic Monkeys, Peach Pit, Rex Orange County, Declan McKenna, Mac DeMarco, Foster the People, The 1975, Wallows and Tame Impala as well as a ton of slightly older influences like The Beatles, The Smith's, Coldplay, The Killers etc. We strive to make fresh, smart melodic music.
