ABOUT

I am looking for a guitarist interested in playing intimate soft acoustic folk, blues or modern covers with me doing vocals (and harmonies if you sing too). Open to a range of influences but my repertoire includes stuff like Patty Griffin, Gretchen Peters, Sandy Denny, Josienne Clarke to name a small handful.

I would love to work towards open mic and small gigs as a duet in the Sussex area.

Very ecclectic taste but my roots are in folk and country - joni mitchel, leonard cohen, dylan, ralph mctell, joan baez, sandy denny, bonnie rait, emmylou harris, eva cassidy
I also love nina simone, ella fitzgerald, madelaine peyroux, mary gaulthier, Natalie Merchant, hayley reinhart, Birdy, mumford and sons, anything by PMJ, First Aid Kit, Jeff Buckley, villagers, KD Lang, June Tabor, the list goes on.
Love lots of modern hits too - anything that has a great melody and especially a great lyric. I like adapting known tunes to a new style.
