Sounding like Fleetwood Mac, smelling like the Barenaked Ladies and looking like the Beautiful South the Redwood Thinkers are a Leeds based acoustic / pop five piece who were described in Sandman Magazine as “truly original song writing… melodic, acoustic folk rock with great vocal harmonies”
Formed by housemates Darran and Kezia in 2005 and expanded into a five piece as the gigs and venues got bigger the Redwoods in the words of Hull’s Music HQ, play and write “Highly memorable, hook laden acoustic based music” set out with the write and perform honest songs that you want to return to again and again.
For the past 3 years the band have played numerous gigs across the north of England from the Cavern club in Liverpool to Hull Mela and many points in between.
The band have recently recorded three new songs at Leeds’ Touchwood studios which add to their eponymous debut acoustic album and last year’s full band ‘Falling Down’ single which was played on BBC Radio Lancashire and BBC Radio Leeds the latter as their mp3 of the week.
