We are mainly members of a bike club who are trying to put together a covers band in the Heage/Ripley area of Derbyshire and we are currently looking for a lead guitarist to help with our project.
Most of us have been in groups before, gigging at local pubs and clubs but this is a new venture.
We have a practice venue at a pub in Heage (near Ripley), and at present we are practicing once a fortnight, in the evening.
We don’t have a specific genre we want to look at as we try to let the songs suit the vocalist’s voices but are open to most types of music from rock & roll, rhythm and blues through to Metallica and anything that would sound good for a cross section audience at a pub!
Our ages range from late 20’s to a bit older! But were all young at heart. I would describe our abilities as ‘varied’ but the overall aim is to make music and have a good time.
Having been in bands before this would not suit someone trying to make ‘a second income!’ but if we can progress, we will be looking at paid gigs.
