Due to the unfortunate loss of their previous lead vocalist, Keltic Jihad are on the search for a replacement. The band molds the classical melodies of acts such as After Forever with the intensity and ferocity of bands like Nevermore & Arch Enemy, with a touch of progressive metal in the style of Voivod. This eclectic mix of influences has resulted in the band gaining worldwide attention, with around 30,000 fans on their MySpace site alone. This attention enabled them to play to a packed marquee at the UK's number one Heavy Metal festival, the mighty Bloodstock Open Air which was headlined this year by Nightwish.
They are looking for a melodic female singer whose singing style sits somewhere in between Doro Pesch (Warlock, solo artist) and Floor Jansen (After Forever). The ideal candidate will be over 21 years of age with a mature attitude to life and especially towards their role in the music industry. Honesty, integrity and a trustworthy nature are a mandatory requirement for any potential member of Keltic Jihad. A reasonable amount of studio and live experience are essential, as the band has plans for extensive touring on the back of their current album (The End Of Empires) as well as working on their next magnum opus.
