My Musician introduction:
''Kaya Nikita is an alto vocalist from Hull, based in the studio and can be booked for live events, known for their rich, soulful vocal voice with their distinctive husky, breathy tone and vibrato.

I'm a 24 year old alto vocalist from Hull, I have home studio equipment and live sound equipment, currently building up my portfolio as I go.
I play acoustic guitar, write songs and compose music mainly with my guitar. I'm aware I have quite a deep voice for someone as young as me but I have learned to embrace this.

I write my lyrics about life experiences, emotions, thoughts, events, I don't shy away from the raw reality of things to a degree. Music is created by the soul, its often tells a story.

I have experience of 8 years on and off, been doing singing training for two years consecutively now, I sit exams, short music courses and i'm part of student gigs.

Ive done lots of karaoke, a couple of open mics, lots of studio work, workshops, I'm also in a show choir where i have experience in singing next to others and solo sets.
I have struggled with confidence over the years but ive learned emotion can make the vocals stronger, more powerful.

I love soul music, motown, blues, indie rock like; oasis, stone roses, james, The verve, the charlatans. I also like pink floyd, the specials, the jam. I also like electronic and some rap music.
