ABOUT

Talented-but-inexperienced self-taught keyboard virtuoso seeking chilled out covers band.

The Who, the Doors, Genesis, Queen or generic wedding-reception rock or pop classics. Or anything that's fun to play. My life dream is to play in a classic prog covers band; but I like rock and roll, pop, blues, essentially anything with a fun keyboard line.

Not ambitious, I don't want to get signed, I don't want to do any gigs bigger than a wedding reception. I do want to get some experience playing in groups, with fun people to spend time with.

Right now I'm unemployed/freelancing, so if there's the possibility of some gig money - even if it's not very much - I can definitely put a bunch of time into this.

No experience in bands but very good at playing by ear and interpreting songs/working out arrangements, learning quickly, and improv.

Rehearsal location within an hour of Newham preferred.

Influences

I listen to Genesis, Scissor Sisters, Kanye West, the Who, the Doors, Queen, Kate Bush, Janelle Monae, Bloc Party, Linkin Park, Led Zeppelin, Nick Cave, Nina Simone, Suede, Kasabian, King Crimson, Faithless, Lana Del Rey, the Caretaker, Glenn Miller, Clannad, Hawkwind, Sylvester, Guillemots, ABBA, anything I can dance to. Literally all sorts.

I like anything that's intriguing to listen to, has great production or intriguing sounds. I basically like the proggy/experimental/odd-noisemaking splinter of most other genres.
