I am trying to get back into playing bass after a 4 year break and I am not getting anywhere simply trying to practice on my own at home - it simply doesn't work for me.
I am not an amazing player by any means but I know my way around the fingerboard and have fairly good technique. I happily play finger style or with a pick - whatever suits the music. I know a little bit of theory - it has been enough to get me by in previous bands.
I am looking for a small band or group of players who maybe have some ideas for songs and just want to try to build a band out of it. I need to be eased back into the routine of playing. I'm not terrible but I am far from where I was!

Influences
I wouldn't say that my style of playing or the music I play has very much to do with the types of music that I listen to. In fact I very rarely been in a band that plays songs that I would normally listen to! It doesn't really bother me what sort of stuff I'm playing as long as its good!
