I’ve been playing guitar for about 13 years now—though honestly, I’d say I’m not as good as I should be after that long. I’m mostly self-taught, with the occasional lesson here and there. I first got a guitar for my birthday when I was 12, but it wasn’t until Year 7, when my school got a music room, that I really started taking it seriously. That’s when my love for music properly kicked in.
Since then, music’s been a big part of my free time. I was in a small band with a couple of mates back in school, and I’ve always been drawn to reggae. What really pushed me toward wanting to start a reggae band was one of the teachers at our school—he played in a local Leicester reggae band called By The Rivers, and seeing that made it feel real, like something I could actually do. Ever since, it’s been a goal of mine to start something reggae-focused of my own.
