Just Watch the Fireworks is a story. A story of motorways and desert plains, of fireflies and constellations. A story of sexual awakenings; summer smells, daisychains and hedge brambles; sweet new sensations. A story about outdoor pools, forests and boats on lakes; pine trees, stars and rooftops. It's a paean to small towns, dim lights and heading on to the open road. An ode to torch-lit gatherings for drinking away troubles. A lament for every boy who ever threw pebbles at a girl's window. It's a tale of mythical creatures, fiendish night-watchmen and nocturnal kids in the woodland. A fable of far-away lands, escape, distant beaches and weary roadsides. Of never growing up. Of never ceasing to believe that although we're all damned we all have a chance...
