I have been playing the guitar for about 20 years. I'm not amazing, but I like playing along to things like ACDC, Black Sab, Stones, Stooges, Pixies. I also enjoy the music of people like Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Jackson C Frank. I prefer a bluesy vibe to things like jazz - but mainly because the chords are too hard for the latter. But blues rock, or classic rock and heavy metal, or just straight punk or post punk - Stranglers, Damned, etc. are my preference for the kind of stuff I'd like to play.
