I'm a versatile and accomplished drummer with 40 years experience. I play for a UK based Cliff Richard and The Shadows Tribute band; a French Neil Young Tribute, a German blues/rock/country covers band and an international Genesis Tribute.

The Genesis Tribute band, which is highly regarded, exists only in cyberspace. Have a look for iGenesis on YouTube, and you'll get the idea.

I recently recorded for a Prog Rock band who asked me to re-interpret an album of theirs - they found my work on YouTube and wanted to see what I would do with their album - you can see a video of the result on the left of this page (the Protos video). Protos were delighted with what I came up with :-)

I have done a lot of YouTube drum work - and have amasssed almost 2 million views of my Genesis, Police and other drum covers. People seem to very much enjoy my passion, attention to detail and above all my sense of fun - which for me is what it is all about. I am constantly amazed and humbled by the reaction of people to my drumming, whether at gigs or on YouTube, and the many messages I receive from other drummers, other musicians and people who are life-long fans of Dire Straits or Genesis or The Police or whatever, just blow me away.

A word of caution - I am self taught; I've never had a lesson; I cannot read music; I don't understand what a drum grading is, and I learn all my parts by ear. If you are looking for a technically perfect and mechanically trained drummer, I am absolutely not your man. If you are looking for someone with their own style and sense of groove; someone who has taken forever to get to where I am (I am a slow learner); someone who listens to the music and plays only what is required; someone who prefers to keep it simple rather than try and show off; someone who abhors double bass drum pedals (though I can use 'em when I must), and above all someone who does not take himself too seriously and who actually has a sense of humour, then just maybe I will be of interest to you :-)

A final thing - I am not remotely interested in, or motivated by, earning money as a musician. I have a day job for making a living. I drum because I love drumming.

My work with iGenesis will still continue, though this keeps me occupied for only a few intensive weeks at a time, several times a year. We produce approximately three videos a year. Similarly, my work with the Cliff and The Shads tribute, Neil Young Tribute and the German rock covers band, does not keep me fully occupied.
