Jonny Desai is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and composer based in Cambridge and Nottingham. He grew up in India and draws from his cultural heritage for some inspiration. Training initially on classical guitar, he advanced quickly but began to find more meaning in improvising and so started composing.
Piano also became a large interest, and adding electronic elements to his works was a key discovery in establishing his own sound. His extensive use of tape loops and delays combined with haunting vocals create a vivid sonic atmosphere. Hear his music here https://soundcloud/jonnydesai
