I am an all round guitarist, singer and songwriter I have been playing in bands for 35 years. I love playing live. I am currently playing in Subway Rockets with bassist Dave and drummer Stuart. We found Stu just before Covid struck and played one gig before lockdown! He is a great drummer and fits in well with the band.
We have been playing in pubs for a couple of years as a duo before we found Stu; we like to interact with the audience, and we play an eclectic mixture of stuff.

Numerous. I am more into edgy or lively stuff, not particularly anthems or ballads. Perhaps more punky, funky, bluesy... I like doing unexpected versions of pop hits; we do "Single Ladies", "I Kissed a Girl" and "Sex Bomb" amongst others. Dave is a Mod and loves Jam and Paul Weller. He used to be in a proper band called "The Mods". Stu likes progressive rock (!) but we don't do any of that live!
I like Catatonia, Ian Dury, Rage Against the Machine, Kate Bush, Stevie-Ray Vaughan, The Tubes, Talking Heads, UK Subs, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, Cockney Rejects, Third Bass, Misty in Roods, Trombone Shorty, Flaming Lips, Pavement, Penetration, The Buzzcocks and The Undertones.
- Rhythm Guitar:
- Lead Guitar:
Various electric guitars, including obvs. a Les Paul and a Strat. A few valve amps, mostly Marshall's including the brilliant and much misunderstood Origin 50, a funky pedal board, a little PA for small gigs, a computer with CuBase.
