I'm an experienced mature keyboard player. I teamed up four years ago with a bass player to form a duo playing mainly jazz standards. Having worked as a duo for some time, we wanted to extend our setlist to include some jazz-funk instrumentals. To do this and to generally extend the range of material we could cover we added a drummer about a year ago. We are currently looking for a replacement drummer to complete the trio. We're currently playing a mix of jazz (bebop, swing and Latin) and increasingly jazz funk instrumentals (think Chick Corea, Jeff Lorber, Dave Grusin, Herbie Hancock, Ronnie Laws, Lonnie Liston Smith, Azymuth etc.).

Likely to suit somebody who grew up digging that kind of stuff in the 70's / 80's. If you're a reader, great, but more importantly you are comfortable nailing the odd time, syncopated rhythmic breaks that pepper this music If you're into that kind of thing and have a great jazz and funk feel we would love to hear from you.

The audio files are all live recordings done with a Tascam hand held recorder, so not the best quality but should give you a good idea of our style. There's a mix of duo and trio recordings - some include a sax player who has joined us for some of our gigs.
