I'm Joe, a 26 year-old scientist that is currently living in the Leighton Buzzard area. I moved here with my partner around 6 months ago and have a serious passion for music. I frequently attend rock gigs and festivals, and have been a casual electric bass and guitar player for most of my life.
Since lockdown, I started practicing a lot more and would often jam with one of my close mates. We would regularly have a few beers and play The Chats. I would absolutely love playing music and could always see myself playing in a band one day. However, recently I have not been picking up my guitars due to a lack of confidence and local music contacts, and have been looking for a reason to get back into playing more frequently, especially as it is hard to gauge the local music scene when you move to a new area (I'm originally from Nottingham).
I would be happy to play covers. My music theory isn't really up to scratch but I am always up for learning new things.
So if there are any local musicians, particularly in my close area (but also happy to travel), that would be interested in jamming at some point, let me know. I am also just up for meeting likeminded individuals as myself and my partner have struggled to find people with similar hobbies to us (she is also into the same music as myself). Always up for a pint and can chat for England when it comes to music, as well as being really into football and motorsport.
