I am a former touring professional guitar player, with backing vocals and a number of other instruments. I'm committed to a research degree at the moment, but this gives a reasonable amount of flexibility. I'm also one third of a folk trio, who play live about 4 times a month, but other than the live shows, that band doesn't take up any time at all. I'm always looking for interesting low-key projects, preferrably paid gigs. Very open-minded musically (but no metal, soft rock, low-end pop, etc.) If you have something in mind and are in the area, give me a shout.

Influences
Currently going through a bit of a roots/alt-country phase, but also blues, alternative rock, lounge jazz, singer-songwriter, folk, rock and roll... Big heroes include Richard Thompson, Wilco, Eels, early Ry Cooder, Jeff Beck, Stephen Malkmus, Buddy Guy, John Martyn, Elvis Costello, Neil Young, Tom Waits, etc... A very eclectic mix.
EQUIPMENT
Varies, but generally Strats, a 335-type thing, big pedal board, mandolin, anything that's to hand, really.
