I am Jez Powell on F. ace book (Worthing).
I am open minded but prefer good metal, hard rock. Also play cheesy power rock (lol)! Am a junglist (1993-7) and produce dark jungle. One extreme to the other.. I have done everything from sound engineering/studio work to performing/bands. I've played bass and guitar in metal and rock bands, also played in jazz bands and even "sung" in a death metal band! Played guitar and bass since I was six. Piano/keys too. Play mainly guitar and bass now. I PLAY BASS WITH MY FINGERS mainly. Yes, you can play twice as fast with fingers than you can with a pick.. I can begrudgingly play with a pick too. Know my way round all synths/samplers and software too..

Influences
To be fair I am open minded and will listen to anything except chart music lol. A metaller at heart though - 80s 90s metal and rock. From Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, etc, to G n’ R, Poison, Van Halen, Whitesnake. Morbid Angel, Napalm Death, old Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, Arch Enemy and more mellow metal like Alter Bridge, Sevendust, etc. I like oldskool rap eg. ice T, ice cube, Easy E, dre, snoop, cypress hill, etc. Also into dark Jungle/DnB, I produce.

Musicman 4 string custom bass, etc. Various amps although use rack/power amp for bass and with 4x12 Marshall setup for guitar. Have a Blackstar 6L6 100watt head and an old Marshall 8080 too. Newest is a Spark 40! Many pedals Inc. 1970s Jen crybaby (before Dunlop ruined them). Samplers: Akai Z4 fully expanded, Emu Esi 4000 turbo. Mackie desk. Motu 828mk2 fw interface. Soundcraft desk linked to decent recording setup - Mac Pro 5,1 maxed out, MacBook Pro 2015 15" with logic x. Atari STE 4mb ram TOS2.06, etc
