They seem to make themselves at home anywhere they play; from the corner of a small pub to busking outside your shop to a large outdoor stage, it doesn't matter where this band play, they can adapt their act to fit any type of venue. The band have supported, Dr. & The Medics, Chas & Dave & Bad Manners. Toot ‘n’ Skamen original formed in December 1985 by Joe Masters (a drummer at the time) & Steve Welsh (bass player). In the last 2 years they have performed with ska legends Bad Manners & The Selecter. They have also played at several open-air festivals inc The Maidstone River Festival. They have recently headlined at the Sandford scooter club hosted by the Dorset Modrapheniacs scooter club & generally making quite a reputation for themselves on the scooter scene! Toot ‘n’ Skamen play & perform to such high standard, they have often been compared to the original artistes themselves. They sound right, they look right, their stage performance is second to none & can only be described high energy, which results in a high degree of audience participation. Originally formed around lead singer Del Reyes in Manchester, England, as a four piece reggae covers band, Johnny 2 Bad moved base to Birmingham, the heart of reggae music UK, where it expanded to it's current 8-piece format. The band gathered players from the Who's Who of the UK reggae circuit and worked hard honing the sound and stage show in venues across the UK. After 18 months, the band rapidly gained a loyal following and an enviable reputation as one of the most exciting reggae bands around. They have been sought out to work alongside established artists such as: Pato Banton, Bad Manners, Musical Youth and Apache Indian. In January 2007 Johnny 2 Bad made its European debut in Holland, further bookings in Holland and Belgium thanks to the enthusiasm and support of Bobby Veenstra.
