SEEKING
Vocalist - Soprano, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Violin.ABOUT
I'm hoping to form a small band, initially I'm seeking a female singer. I have new songs written that will be 'relationship' songs for lack of a better word. The songs I've written so far could form part of the project too.
Recording and low key live performances is the first aim, starting at open mics would be ideal since I run a couple - the Waggon Open Mic in Maidenhead, and the Stag Open Mic in Burnham Beeches.
I do have a day job and want to keep it, however I am also keen to reach a wider audience if possible.
I've ticked the guitarist and violin boxes as I can't be sure the guitarist I know best will be involved, and violin could be an interesting addition.
I've recorded live and at home with friends, this is my page -

Hmm. Do I put key influences, or *everyone*? :).
Here goes...Abba, Beatles, Big Star, Bowie, John Cale, Leonard Cohen, Dexys Midnight Runners, The Fall, Fleetwood Mac, Iggy/The Stooges, The Kinks, Kirsty MacColl, Robert Palmer, Lou Reed/VU, Jonathan Richman, Rolling Stones, Roxy Music, Simon and Garfunkel, Talking Heads, Television, Scott Walker, The Who, Neil Young.
I'm sure I'll end up adding more I've forgotten later!
EQUIPMENT
Full PA, two guitars, Yamaha CP33 keyboard.
I've put under 10 gigs as I run open mics, playing at them and running them.
