Jay started his career entering small competitions in various clubs and pubs across Essex, however it wasn’t until his participation in the sixth series of Factor Essex (2014) that he began to make his mark, being asked to perform at local town carnivals and Christmas light switch on events. Jay has performed to a wide range of people bringing both energy and fun to every performance.

Following his work for Factor Essex, Jay has received several nominations at the South East Entertainment Awards (formerly Essex Entertainment Awards) where he has performed to massive crowds and entertained some of the biggest names in the Essex entertainment scene.

In 2016, following the release of a cover on youtube of "The Greatest Show on Earth" by Finnish metal group Nightwish, Jay has become a regular fixing on the bill for the Kitee International Music and Arts Festival (KIMAF) run by Plamen Dimov, the very man who brought the band together. Every July, Jay joins a plethora of talented musicians in Kitee, Finland to perform music based around the music of Nightwish.
