I'm a very good solid groove drummer with exceptional time keeping. I am not a flash technique type of player and would rather play for the song than play with myself!! I worked as a pro musician for about 10 years but married life and kids forced me to get a proper job. (I still work in the industry but now design sound systems) As well as being a drummer/percussionist, I am a fairly good lyric writer too so if there any songwriters out there who need some lyrics, please get in touch. I'm a bit rusty on the lyrics front but a bit of musical inspiration will kick me into gear again.

I have loads of influences...the usual, Gadd, Jim Keltner, all the great old Jazz players, Steve Ferrone , John Blackwell etc., etc. I love all solid groove playing musical drummers who have the ability to drive a band and make the other musicians shine. I can play in all styles of music but I am happiest when really grooving! Although I love all types of music if it's honest and from the heart, I don't really enjoy playing classic rock or heavy metal....I can do it if I have to but it wouldn't be my first choice. I would love to join/form a band that has a sort of hootenanny sound - kind of county blues (see Bruce Springsteen - We Shall Overcome http://www.youtube/watch?v=QlpvbxmFm5g&feature=related)

I have tons of gear - eight kits in all. 5 vintage Gretsch kits, two new Yamaha's and an old Rogers. and about 23 Zildjian Cymbals of all different types. I have a load of toys that make a noise too. I also own a load of PA Equipment....it's my job.
