Imagine an angry Killers mixed up with a pop Gaslight Anthem with a hint of The Cure thrown in for good measure and you are getting somewhere close to the sound of AKA Wyoming. Starting with Steve on bass and Matt on guitar the band soon found Dave on keyboards and Si on drums. After several false alarms looking for vocalists Jamie arrived to complete the line up. Producing aggressive but still melodic indie-rock the band wrote some of their classics early on with Black Swan and Every Little Scar still line-up mainstays to this day. After Si left to move away, ex Sons Of Beaches drummer Rich joined and more new songs followed. With Jamie’s intense lyrics backed up with the band’s dramatic propulsive sound they have played several high profile gigs including headlining Birmingham Academy 3. And now the band have a new bass player in a second Dave who knows where the sound will go.
