I've been playing guitar properly for about 10 years. I'm self taught and play pretty much any style, from blues to thrash, country to ska, loads of different stuff.
I recently bought a bass too, as kinda an expansion to my collection, and I'd say that I can get by, but I'm by no means Rob Trujillo/Chris Wolstenholme.
As for other instruments, I can Usually get a decent enough sound out of most things, and I'm always willing to try something new.

Influences
My main influences are blues-rock based, AC/DC, ZZ top, Zeppelin, GnR etc. I also play punk/punk pop stuff ( green day/offspring/sex pistols kinda power chord stuff)
Acoustically I'm influenced mainly by Johnny Cash, but there's also newer aspects i like (mumford and sons recently).
Basically I like loads of different styles, and I believe this comes across in my playing style and ability.
