ABOUT
Hello there; I am replying to advert looking for a singer for your metal band based in Birmingham, I currently live in Solihull but can easily get to Birmingham for rehearsal. My name is James, I'm 32 and I have been complimented on my voice a couple of times. Both time by bands looking for singers but I declined as I am a full time father, but as circumstances have changed I now have time to dedicate to a band. I am fairly stocky built, and I can't say I look like Chris Cornell but I'm dedicated, enthusiastic and above all creative. In my spare time I write and direct horror films, one of which is out on DVD very soon. I have no singing experience but I know what I like and what I'm capable of, and I can sing. I'm looking to join a band and push them as far as gigging and recording are concerned, I have a lot of new ideas (some even a bit mental) to throw into the mix, so I'd like to give it a bash. I'd prefer to open up a discussion with any band interested and maybe audition privately as I'm not equipped to record decent sound and send it. Bands that I like vary from year to year, but Stone Roses, Slipknot, DreamTheater, Killswitch Engage, Rammstein, Dimmu Borgir, NiN, Medicine, System of a Down and a load more are what you could find me listening to. I think music in it's best form is like a small pinhole down into a persons mind, just a glimpse of genius. But if you open the hole too wide, all is lost.
