My name is James Arkinstall, I’m a drummer from Bridgend, South Wales (15 minutes out from Cardiff) I’m looking for musicians to create music with, solo artists to play with and anything to start gigging again. Can travel with kit. I’ve got a bop kit for jazz and a full size kit for all other genres.

Influences
My favourite band is Blink 182 so they influence my main music taste heavily and I would like to start a band with that style if possible but I’m very open to different styles, I also listen to a lot of hip-hop, metal and jazz so have a very varied music taste. As far as drumming influences go I wouldn’t know where to start. The obvious ones like Eric Moore, Aaron Spears, Tony Royster are up there along with the jazz greats who I watch religiously.

A bop kit for jazz work and for playing with solo artists who require a lighter sound (very portable for gigging),
A full size kit that covers pretty much every genre on the heavier side of things...
Zildjian K dark set which I use for jazz and other lighter more complex music styles, then the zildjian S set which I use for heavier playing like metal or pop punk.
