Desire to perform and entertain
My name is Jake Lay and after finishing college this year I am continuing to embark on a career in the music sector both teaching and performing.
I have been teaching young students at home and in Taverham Brass Band for their training section as well as 16 students at the Jennifer Grace unit in Norwich on a weekly basis.
With 'A' levels behind me, I am currently expanding my talents and developing my skills by performing at every opportunity across all genres of music.
Currently I am performing with Taverham Brass Band, Truescape Rock Band, Organic Soul Society Band, Norwich Samba Band and guest appearance for Jazz functions.
Performing and helping others to develop a love of music is something I enjoy and have been told I have a natural talent and great connection with people.
Having been part of a brass band since the age of 9, I have excellent sight reading skills and and ear for all types of genres.
I have had auditions from four cruise ship companies and my age at the time was only 17 and was preventing me from being signed.
Being 20 years old in July of this year, I have spent my time wisely by being exposed to all music genres
Performing is where my heart is and I will be an asset to any group, band or performance by ensuring I am at the top of my game when needed.
