Hi, I'm Jake and I play bass. Messed around with it since about 2015, but the last 5 years or so I've taken it more seriously, practicing often.
Over the last couple of years I've messed around and written music with a friend who played drums (ala Royal Blood, one of our biggest influences), however he's just moved to Exeter so I have no one to jam with!
I have 2 fully written, mostly recorded and partially produced songs with me on bass and vocals (links at bottom of description if you're interested, like I said they're not done but hey... Hopefully you can help!), as well as countless riffs and random stuff I've come up with.
At the moment it is a hobby, but I would love to take it further in the future, and would be willing to commit to something more serious if it ends up panning out that way.
Have a Line 6 Helix LT to recreate the crazy Royal Blood sounds, or any sound really for that matter, and have a very versatile music taste. Though primarily rock, I appreciate good music of any kind.
Been told I can sing by some, but you can make you're own mind up! I'm nothing amazing, and I find it difficult to sing while I'm playing. That's probably because I've never really practiced, I've never needed to!
I drive so am able to travel easily if it's within a reasonable distance.
