Hi everyone,
My name is Jack, im 28 and live near Bognor Regis. I have loved music my whole life. I remember being in my car seat with my mum blasting ACDC and GnR in my ears. I have taught myself guitar over the last 7 years. I'm ok at best, but looking for other people to play alt/rock/metal/punk music with. Took drum lessons for 5 years also, and have also dabbled with Bass. I have been to more festivals than I count and music is my escape.
I have mostly gone down the path of teaching myself songs (chords and tabs) and feel I know my way around a fret board quite well. Im still trying to get way better and solos, but can play some pretty tasty licks and more than comfortable playing any chord required.
Im looking for a group of people who will encourage me to continue to get better, and like having a laugh. Would maybe even like to play a few local gigs covering stuff for some fun.

Honestly, im hooked by absolutely fat riffs and licks. As soon as I hear a guitar tone that sounds like a plane engine blasting into my face I'm in love.
Would say I draw the line at metal music, but anything before that is my jam. Grew up like everyone my age listening to early arctic monkeys and the strokes, which quickly transitioned into a more alternative scene with things like QoTSA, Nothing but thieves, Royal blood etc. I also have a huge love for hair metal (Motley crue, steel panther, Mr Big), Classic rock (GnR, ACDC, Maiden, Sabbath) and even some more alternative punk (Rage, Nirvana, Bad Nerves).
To be honest I really love everything, for me its all about the grit and the sound of the tone.

EQUIPMENT
40w fender amp, Micro Pog, various Overdrive and distortion pedals, fuzz pedal. Have 2 guitars a Epiphone les paul special 2, and a squier tele that I have pimped out. Also have a Spark 2 MIDI amp I use for everything to be honest. Also have a Ernie Ball Music Man bass guitar that needs to be set up.
