I played for about 5 years and reached the standard of 'invisible' on the grounds that non musicians only notice drummers if they are really good or really awful! Then due to work commitments I didn't play play for 14 years. I couldn't take it anymore and despite having the same job (involves shifts)I've bought a practice/small gig kit and a second hand Yamaha Stage Custom kit for jams and gigs. I've been practicing and the rust is falling off surprisingly quickly! What I now need is some musicians who play for fun, but take it seriously, or some who like myself are returning to their instrument and looking for others to play with.
