Bio:
Ikarus Rising is a three men rock band that doesn't want to play just
rock. Our influences range from delta blues through jazz all the way to
classical music. In our continuously- evolving music journey, we put originality
of our sound as a top priority in all that we do. In our music we express
ourselves, our ideas, our heroes, our fears in all that surrounds us, always
staying true only to our own ways and tastes.
Ikarus Rising was originally formed in Poznan, Poland where three young
musicians met almost randomly and after three days of booze binge decided
to form a band. Martin Dawn (guitar,vocals), Gregory Skylark (bass) and
Mieshko Lowzyl (drums) all came from different walks of life. Their diverse
influences and mutual love for improvisation created a brand new sound.
After discovering the low level of their home music scene three mates bought
a one- way ticket to London, where they would throw themselves in the deep
sea, to chase their dream of becoming a legendary band.
This demo includes a mixture of Ikarus Rising sound. A meddle of madlyoverdriven
guitar riffs, live euphoria or slow, tender acoustic ballads offer the
listener a chance to experience true music that is coming from the hearts of
three confused, inexperienced and hellishly pissed-off teenagers, that won’t
stop until they reach the very top.
